MANIFESTO

Mission. Values. Principles.

I — MISSION

Empowering CTOs to grow through a top-notch peer network.

II — VISION

  • The largest network of top-class tech builders and leaders.
  • Eye-opening discourse on leadership, recruiting, tech challenges, technology selection and joint investments.
  • The best organization advocating for geeks and nerds.

III — Principles.
Nine things we agree on.

01

We are nerds.

Techies are the driving force of the digitized economy. Members can code in at least one language — Excel doesn't count.

02

We are builders.

We construct things, start ventures and drive innovation. We admire those who actively steer a company's tech strategy.

03

We are leaders.

We take on responsibility, share our knowledge and help others grow. Our colleagues trust us to steer a large tech team.

04

We are supporters.

We get energy from helping peers. Our value for the group is how much we helped others to grow.

05

We are diversity advocates.

Different characters, styles, genders and races make teams great. Arguing is cool as long as it stays on subject.

06

We are connectors.

We connect CTOs and pool knowledge. No active selling — no vendors, agencies, consultants or recruiters.

07

We keep things confidential.

What happens in the group stays in the group. Chatham House Rules apply.

08

We maintain high standards.

Nobody has a right to join or stay. Not nice, not supportive or not active — and the membership is paused or removed.

09

We communicate in English.

One language for 1,200 members across four cities and a dozen countries.

IV — Selection.
Five criteria, one committee.

We'll never grow our member base if it harms the quality and depth of discussions. A referral from an existing member is by far the best way in. No founder can vote for an exception for friends.
